Launching on 27th November, The Pony’s Christmas menu is a contemporary spin on festive classics, designed to cater to a range of tastes while celebrating seasonal British ingredients. The three-course menu is priced at £45, offering exceptional value for a gastronomic experience that blends tradition with modern culinary flair.

The menu’s first course offers a choice between several delightful starters. For meat lovers, the Beech Ridge Roast Chicken Terrine, served with celeriac remoulade and sourdough toast, is a hearty, comforting option. Those seeking a plant-based alternative will enjoy the Spelt, Mushroom & Hazelnut Risotto, complemented by Somerset Pecorino, or the vibrant Roast Parsnip & Winter Vegetable Salad, featuring bitter leaves, goats curd, and walnuts. Fish enthusiasts can look forward to the Cured Chalk Stream Trout, adorned with trout roe, samphire, and taramasalata.

For the second course, there’s something to suit every palate. Highlights include the Roast Pork with celeriac purée, apple chutney, and burnt onion, and for a more luxurious treat, the Goose Breast with red cabbage purée and fried pomme Anna, available for a £6 supplement. Seafood lovers can indulge in the Smoked Cod, Trout & Prawn Fish Pie, crowned with a Westcombe Cheddar mash. Vegetarians will be spoiled with the Pressed Winter Vegetable Terrine, served alongside winter greens and a truffle-fried duck egg. For an extra special occasion, The Pony offers a Côte De Boeuf for Two, accompanied by peppercorn sauce, fried pomme Anna, horseradish, and watercress, available for a £15 supplement per person.

To complete the meal, the desserts offer a comforting, festive touch. Diners can choose from indulgent options such as the Rhubarb & White Chocolate Roulade, Bristol Beer Factor Sticky Toffee Pudding paired with Christmas pudding ice cream, or the Walnut Frangipane Tart with chestnut purée and candied walnuts. For an additional £3, guests can opt for a Selection of British Cheese to finish their meal on a savoury note.
